Perfectparachutepicture (Rock) - Artist Discovery

Todays spotlight is firmly on the excitingly high octane rock band, Perfectparchutepicture!

Hailing from the UK's 'Steel City' (Sheffield), the talented duo present an energetically charged, attitude driven sound full of tightly locked, well crafted instrumentation and vibrantly dominant vocals.

A perfect subject indeed for todays Artist Discovery...

Formed back in 2013, Perfectparachutepicture is the creative lovechild of gifted musicians Kyle Ernest (lead vocals & drums) and Edward James (bass).

Despite there only being two of them, the South Yorkshire based rockers have successfully established a solidly strong musical connection to create their extremely huge sound - thick and full of raw character.

Their first EP, 'Morphine Dream', was released in 2014 and delivered an exciting glimpse of what was to come.

The pair followed this with a string of consistently good singles before blessing us all with their self released debut album 'No Modern Desire' in 2019 (heads up - it too sounds freakin' awesome). The band celebrated the album with a sold out show at Sheffield's DINA the same September.

Moving head first into 2020, the boys dropped their latest single 'They Only Want' on 29th May 2020 - marking an exciting new chapter for the Sheffield based two piece.

Skilfully produced by David Glover of Tesla Studios, the track offers satisfyingly gritty riffs, an exhilaratingly alive rhythmic section and tastefully crafted vocal hooks.

Accompanying the release is a fast paced, well shot music video - impressively filmed/directed/edited by Chris Ogden of Long Chalk Media...
