Montrell (Indie Rock) - Artist Discovery

With great pleasure - todays Artist Discovery is all about Montrell!

The four-piece Indie Pop group deliver a warm fusion of old school songwriting and modern day production value, delivering a joyfully nostalgic sound that successfully stands out from the crowd.

Hailing from the British cities/town of Winchester, Leicester and Kingston - Montrell is the creative lovechild of talented musicians Jonny Taylor (lead vocal/guitars), Michael Kurtz (vocals/guitars), Sam Delves (bass) and Alex Moorse (drums).

The group have been going from strength to strength since releasing their debut single back in 2017, skilfully shaping their sound ever since. A string of singles and two EP's later, Montrell rolled head first into 2020...

Having signed this past February to Neil Young and The Black Keys' publisher, Wixen Music Ltd, Montrell have been quick to continue making an impact, delivering their latest single 'Friends'.

The new single is the first to be released from their forthcoming EP - currently due out in August - marking an incredibly exciting new chapter in their musical journey. The mysteriously enigmatic artwork for the track, titled 'Drops', is curtesy of lead vocalist Jonny's old friend, Jacob Wolff.

Montrell will be one of five artists performing on a special online concert live from East London's iconic Paper Dress Vintage. Passes for the livestreamed event start at £8, with £2 per ticket being donated to the venue's fundraiser as part of the #SaveOurVenues campaign.

The band will also be live at The Lexington in London on October 27th (lockdown permitting). We'll hopefully be there... will you?!
