The focus of today's Artist Discovery is the fantastic Alt Rock/Indie Punk band Faux Pas. By their own admission, they promise to "claw their way into your every waking thought and make you beg for more...".
The York based three piece takes influences from the feminist underground Riot Grrrl movement as well as bands like Placebo, delivering sensational combination of catchy hooks, banging riffs and cathartic angst in equal measure...
The band is made up of Reuben Cowel (lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist), Lewis Edgell (lead guitarist), and Joey Leyland (drummer).
The group have already taken to stages such as Reading & Leeds Festivals and Kendall Calling to name a few, keeping themselves consistently busy with dates all around the UK - establishing a strong and consistently growing fan base along the way.
Their latest single 'That's My Ego' is a shining example of the consistent energy Faux Pas bring to their music. The music video, directed/produced by Joe Hudson, was released in November last year...
The world needs good music. Especially now with the recent outbreak of Coronavirus and the related social restrictions. Luckily for us all, Faux Pas are here to deliver!
You can stream 'That's My Ego' plus the rest of the groups already impressive discography on Spotify.
